1:26 am - First paper of the year

Why can Word XP check and correct your grammar and spelling on the fly, but a word count requires a manual button-clicking to update? I wanna know how much more paper I have to type, dammit, and I don't want to click an extra time just to get a word count!

Oh well, this paper's really pathetically short and easy (500 words or less) so I don't have to worry about such things too much.

Also, what the hell is this business of ignoring the system-wide hilight color? When I select text, I expect it to be hilighted with my custom color, not black. The menus all use the right color and do fancy tricks, but the text selection is in black-and-white. That makes no sense to me.

Oh, BTW, don't let that little rant make you think office XP sucks. It doesn't. It rules. In fact, I almost wish my job required the use it. I use an office app about...never. I spend all my time in system-land...

Mmm I have my own now and it is a good thing.

As soon as I finish this, I'm gonna go to sleep. Classes are way too early...
